IND EX^® review of the 4. German Fire and Explosion Safety Congress in Dortmund, Germany

On the 7th and 8th of November 2018, more than 80 participants from the fire and explosion protection sector gathered for the 4th German Fire and Explosion Protection Congress in the Congress Center Westfalenhallen in Dortmund. Once again, Stefan Penno, President of IND EX^® e.V., managed to set up an exciting congress together with Prof. Dr. Uli Barth (University of Wuppertal), Dirk Aschenbrenner (President of vfdb) and Gerhard Nied (Expert of Explosion Safety from AZO GmbH & Co. KG).

The program was wide-ranging and gave all participants an overview of the latest findings of the IND EX^® research in addition to the scientific lectures. The practical lectures completed the program wonderfully. This ensured a varied and informative congress day for everyone. After the presentations, an explosion demonstration – live and close up - was offered to the participants on the exhibition grounds. The day ended with an invitation to the exhibition party.

On the second congress day some participants visited an excursion to the DASA – working world exhibition in Dortmund. The excursion was very interesting and showed the participants the insane development in working life.

After having lunch together and saying goodbye on the exhibition ground there was the possibility to explore the SOLIDS 2018. The feedback from all participants was completely positive. Therefore a successful day for everybody involved. And there were also VDSI-education points to all the EXperts from all areas.
