Dr.-Ing. Lorenz Boeck (Böck) serves as the IND EX® Ambassador for North America, bringing over 15 years of distinguished expertise in explosion safety and risk mitigation. As Chief Scientific Officer at REMBE® Inc., he leads cutting-edge research initiatives and scientific programs in explosion protection, combining fundamental research with applications across diverse industries.
His extensive experience includes leadership roles at FM Global's Research Division, where he oversaw large-scale explosion testing and certification, and research positions at the California Institute of Technology and Technical University of Munich. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute teaching Explosion Protection Engineering and as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries, Dr. Boeck bridges the gap between academic research and industrial applications.
