ExNB Certification Institute (Notified Body 2684)
Providing electrical and non-electrical product certification according to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU for gas and dust hazardous environment. ExNB works in accordance with the general requirements for bodies operating certification of persons (ISO/IEC 17024:2012) and operates its ExAM personnel competency system covering the standards EN/IEC 60079-0/-14/-17/-19 and EN/ISO 80079-36/-37.
Ex Product Assessment and Certification
Electrical and non-electrical product assessment and certification according to Annex III, VIII and IX (Modules „A”, „B” & „G”) of the 2014/34/EU ATEX Directive for equipment intended to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Manufacturing Site and Repair Workshop Audit
Quality audit for production sites in accordance with ANNEX IV (Module „D”) of the 2014/34/EU ATEX Directive for Ex product manufacturers. Quality system audit and certification for ex equipment repair and overhaul workshops in accordance with EN 60079-19 and cooperation in compliance assessment after repair.
Personnel Competence Assessment and Certification
By the European Council approved Ex-personnel competency assessment and certification body (audited as of the requirements from ISO/IEC 17024:2012)
CERTIFIED EQUIPMENT and COMPETENT PERSONNEL in all cases
In case of installing and operating in potentially explosive atmosphere, all equipment (electrical and non-electrical) must be free from any sources of ignition. The integrity and protection concept of installed Ex equipment must be regularly inspected, serviced and maintained (and properly documented) during whole lifecycle. Ex equipment manufacturing sites must be audited (even in case of successful ISO9001 audit) by ATEX Notified Body. To practice one’s technical education in hazardous environment Ex personnel competency has to be proven to comply with latest standards.
